Casa cu Lei

When we visited Constanta we took the opportunity to climb in the mosque's minaret - which offers the best view of both the port and the surrounding areas. One the many old buildings that pleased my eyes is this one, Casa cu Lei (The House with Lions), blending pre-Romantic and Genovese architectural styles, build in 1895-1898, which during the 1930s hosted the Constanţa Masonic Lodge.
25 years ago it was still used as a restaurant, today it's falling apart and being forgotten.


As you might have guessed, I love it and I wish I had the money to restore it to its former glory...but unfortunately all I can afford right now is to photograph it.
