La chambre du roi

The king's chamber is where legend has it that the Duke of Guise was killed, throwing himself at the foot of the king's bed after being struck by eight bodyguards.
To evoke the king, Duban deliberately enriched with gold decor of the room and the bedroom set with royal lilies. It's furnished with a XVI^th century monumental Italian bed , rebuilt in the XIX^th century, from carved wood, painted and gilded, and a walnut cupboard with two French bodies from the late XVI^th century.

There's a better photo on wiki, it would seem that the cupboard has changed since 2007, but it still looks walnut, french and XVI^th century!
